Selvedge webbing In fact, there are two methods for coloring. One is that it is widely used in conventional dyeing, mainly by putting the selvedge ribbon in a chemical dye solution. Another method is to use paint to make tiny insoluble colored particles to adhere to the fabric.
1. Acid dyes are mostly suitable for protein fiber, nylon fiber and silk. It is characterized by bright color, poor washing degree and excellent dry cleaning degree, which are widely used in natural dead dyeing.
2. Cationic dye (alkaline fuel), suitable for acrylic, polyester, nylon, fiber and protein fiber. It is characterized by bright color and is very suitable for artificial fibers, but it is poor in washing and light fastness for natural cellulose and protein fabrics.
3. Direct dyes are suitable for cellulosic fiber webbing. The fastness to washing is poor and the light fastness is different. However, the modified direct dyes can improve their washing color.
4. Disperse dye, suitable for viscose, acrylic, nylon, polyester, etc., with different fastness to washing, polyester webbing is good, and viscose is poor.
5. Azo fuel (Naftol dye) is suitable for cellulosic fabrics with bright color, which is more suitable for bright color.
6. Reactive dyes are mostly used for cellulosic fabrics, but less for proteins. It is characterized by bright color, light resistance, water washing and friction resistant nylon webbing.
